HKIX offers co-location services at the HKIX Data Center for hosting essential network infrastructure, including DNS root server instances and Speedtest servers. Our facility provides a secure, carrier-neutral environment with reliable power and cooling, high availability, and direct access to major ISPs, enabling critical services to operate with low latency and maximum resilience.


DNS Root Server Hosting

We proudly provide co-location services for hosting DNS root server instances at HKIX. By keeping DNS queries local, we reduce latency, improve resilience against international link failures, lower bandwidth and transit costs, and enhance security. This strengthens the local Internet ecosystem while delivering faster, more reliable performance for end users. Currently, HKIX hosts F-root, I-root and M-root instances at our Data Center.
